Amsterdam! Amsterdam was great to visit but
it is definitely a city that I want to come to back to when I can find a babysitter
… if you know what I’m saying.
I have mixed feelings about my first trip to
Amsterdam.
There were a lot of tourists … Too many tourists
who made their presence obvious by leaving the canals full of litter. It was a
bit of a bummer.
You can smell pot on every street corner … which
is cool but also not kid friendly lol.
While on a canal tour we bumped into a wall hard
enough for it to leave a mark on the boat and give me a mini panic attack. I also
got to witness the glory of two elderly locals partaking in some nude
sunbathing while on this tour.
The Amsterdam sign was a sight but the crowd
around it was crazy! Crossing the streets felt like a rat race but the architecture
was phenomenal! It is an old city overflowing with new life.
I wish I had more to say! I didn’t get to visit the red light district of any cool food spots.
I hope to return in the future to get the real Amsterdam experience!
