Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and I’ve been busy getting into the spirit with a fun little crochet craft. I wanted to make something sweet and whimsical, so I decided on these adorable Crochet Valentine’s Day Play Wands. 🌸💖
They’re a simple yet cute idea—a little crochet heart perched on top of a wooden wand handle, with some ribbon streamers hanging down for extra charm. And because I love a little extra sparkle, I decided to embellish the hearts with some dainty pearls. But the best part? You can make them as unique as you like by adding any embellishments you fancy—be it beads, sequins, or even little buttons!
The process was actually easier than I expected. The hearts came together quickly, and the wooden handles gave them a nice sturdy base. The ribbon streamers were a fun touch, and they make the whole piece feel a little bit magical when they sway. These would be so cute for little ones to play with, or even as a sweet decoration for your Valentine’s Day table or mantle!
If you're a crochet enthusiast (or just looking for a fun DIY project), I’d highly recommend giving this craft a try! It’s such a simple yet satisfying way to spread some love and creativity.
I’m planning on making a few more of these to gift to friends and family this season—how cute would they be as a handmade Valentine’s gift?!
I'm pretty skilled at being able to look at a crochet project and recreate it without a pattern, which is how I ended up making these wands. Unfortunately, this means that I don't have a pattern to give away in this post BUT I was able to find a pretty good FREE pattern that somebody else created.
